SILLY QUESTION
Logically, the only way they could say that is if they’re only looking at omzet (gross sales) as a number, without considering net profit, costs, or taxes.
Here’s probably their thinking:
-
“If I buy something from my shop, the system will record it as a sale.” ✅ True.
-
“More sales = bigger omzet.” ✅ Also true on paper.
-
“Bigger omzet means my business is doing better.” ❌ This is the flawed leap.
What they missed:
-
Omzet ≠ profit → Omzet is just the total money in from sales. If you’re the one paying, it’s not new money.
-
You still lose money on taxes, marketplace fees, and product costs.
-
It’s like pouring water from your right hand into your left hand and calling it “more water.”
So yes, from a logic and financial perspective, what they said doesn’t make sense unless their only goal is to make the sales counter go up for show.
Analogy :
Haha, yep — that’s a classic choleric (and ENTJ) move! They can get impatient or even a bit grumpy when faced with questions they see as obvious, silly, or wasting time. Their brain is wired to be super efficient and results-driven, so things that seem like distractions can easily trigger that “mad” reaction.
But underneath that, they usually just want things to be clear and effective. Sometimes it’s not about the question itself but the frustration of slowing down their flow or having to explain something that feels basic.
