The owner speaks Indonesian hahaha. He worked in Jakarta for 2 years.. And he played Indonesian songs for us. And said to his employee " don't say terimakasih " But " Terimakasih banyak " .

Funny thing. Thomas tanya ke saya mau pilih menu apa. Saya bilang yang tengah. Ga paling mahal dan ga paling murah di list. Karena ga ada terjemahan ke English. Lalu owner nya tanya ' where are you guys from. '. Indonesia we said. And he spoke to us in Indonesia 🇮🇩 hahaha🤣 what a unique, shocking and beautiful experience

NANAS OLEH OLEH , PINEAPPLE 🍍 CAKE

Ya, nanas cake (pineapple cake) memang sangat populer di Taiwan! Dalam bahasa Mandarin disebut 鳳梨酥 (fèng lí sū).

IMMIGRATION OFFICERS ( CHECK MEATS AND PLANTS. MEN)

I can say that Taiwanese immigration officers are the best I've ever encountered. They are so kind and speak politely — I truly felt welcomed there. The Taiwanese people are also friendly and often smile at me.

Even my Japanese brother once said, "I don’t like mainland Chinese, but I like the Chinese people in Taiwan."

If you’ve ever visited Japan, you’ll notice that Taiwanese people are quite similar to the Japanese, but they tend to be more extroverted.

Based on my experience, I can confidently say that Taiwanese immigration officers are the best in the world.

IMMIGRATION OFFICERS ( LADIES)

When I arrived, I brought food with meat and sandwiches. I said, "Okay, let’s take it away." At first, they wanted to check it. I told them, "It’s just meat and meat." They replied, "Okay, okay," in such a friendly tone. When they noticed some sauce on the bag, they kindly cleaned it up. I felt so flattered by how they treated us as visitors, with such care and attention. Then, they said, "Thank you."

When I reached the immigration area, the female officer asked me what year I first came to Japan and which city. She also asked about my favorite city while checking my Japan visa. She then asked if I came alone, and I said, "With my partner." After that, she said, "Yes, you’re good to go!"

GODIVA..CONTINUE...

Just curious😉 why many Westerners sleep on dormitory or bunk bed when they go abroad. And i rarely see Asian ( except Japanese 🇯🇵) do that. ( experience 2018-2026)
  1. Cultural norms around personal space

    • Many Western countries (especially in Europe and the U.S.) grow up with a sense of independence and are comfortable sharing spaces with strangers—like hostels, dorms, or summer camps.

    • In many Asian cultures, privacy in sleeping arrangements is highly valued. Even when traveling, people often prefer private rooms to maintain personal boundaries.

  2. Travel style differences

    • Western travelers, especially younger ones, often prioritize social experiences and budget. Dorms and bunk beds are cheaper and social—they make it easier to meet people.

    • Asian travelers (again, except Japan, where capsule hotels and communal spaces are common) often travel with family or in small groups, so private rooms are preferred.

  3. Comfort and hygiene perceptions

    • Some Asians perceive dorms as less clean or less comfortable, which makes private rooms more appealing, even if more expensive.

    • Westerners tend to be more used to flexible comfort levels when traveling, as the social and cost benefits outweigh minor discomfort.

  4. Exceptions like Japan 🇯🇵

    • Japan’s culture has normalized small personal spaces (capsule hotels, hostels, shared sleeping areas) because space is limited and people are used to communal living etiquette.

First impression: Oh no… I’m back here again, just like 2018! 😅
Second impression: Oh yes… I missed this! 😆❤️
This space feels more international than anywhere else—sleeping side by side with people from all over the world, sharing stories, learning, laughing. 🌏✨
Life is a journey. Real traveling = living like a local. 🛌✈️
